1. When did you start writing?

I began writing when I was a little girl, mostly in diaries and journals.

2. Why did you decide to write a book?

I was battling postpartum after giving birth to my second son and writing poetry was my escape from the depression. It became a healing process and then it clicked. I should write a book that would help others heal.

3. Where are you located?

Lansdale, PA.

4. How did you come up with the title "Molt"?

I was doing homework with my older son one day and he was learning about animals. He had to do a project on animals and he was browsing through the evolution of what animals go through from babies into their adult years. I came across Molt (which is the process of shedding skin, nails, hair). So I applied this concept to the overall story of the book.

5. Who created your cover and how long did it take?

I did. It took me three months to create. I had to teach myself illustrator and photoshop to create my cover.

6. How did you come up with your cover?

I wanted something that was symbolic of the Molt process. I close friend of mine took the picture on the cover and I created it to look almost mosaic. I thought the butterfly was the perfect animal for my title.

7. Who did you use as a publisher?

I am an independent author. I published my book using create space.

8. How long did it take to publish your book?

It took me a good year to put my book together and publish it.

13. Will you do interviews discussing your book in detail?

You can contact me if you would like to interview me and I will see what I can do.

13. Do you have any suggestions for new writers?

Write your story. Don't be afraid you write freely. If someone disagrees with it you are writing your REAL story. Don't quite on your voice.
